Plant Services wins awards

Plant Services and our sister Putman Media Inc. publications recently earned a total of 17 American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) and Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) awards for editorial, graphic and strategic excellence.

Plant Services’ winning entries were:

• Editor-in-Chief Paul Studebaker’s "From the Editor," March and September 2007
• Contributing Editor Joel Leonard’s "Crisis Corner," March and May 2007.
• Contributing Editor Peter Garforth’s "Energy Expert," June and December 2007.
• Art Director Jennifer Dakas’ "To the last byte," April 2007.

Chemical Processing, Food Processing and Control magazines each won two ASBPE awards, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Wellness Foods each took one, and Control Design garnered an ASBPE Honorable Mention for Magazine of the Year.

Among its two ASBPE and two APEX awards, The Journal from Rockwell Automation and Our Partners, a bimonthly custom magazine, won APEX’s "Best Custom-Published Magazines & Journals" prize, which recognizes the magazine as a whole for content, design, fulfillment of its mission for the customer and overall quality.
